Map shows how JFK’s legacy spans the globe

Today marks the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s funeral, attended by representatives from over 90 countries, and to mark the half-century-later memories of JFK, the folks at Slate created a fascinating interactive map.
What it shows is the location of more than 400 memorials to the assassinated president located across the globe: stadiums, hospitals, parks, streets – even a mountain – named after Kennedy.
They range from the John F. Kennedy Stadium in the south Pacific’s remote Solomon Islands to the Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Liberia to Mount Kennedy in Canada’s Yukon territory.
Kennedy’s legacy is clearly felt worldwide.
